Best Hybrid Cars With Wireless Charging in India (2026)

The wireless charger almost never appears on a base variant, so the question is which is the cheapest variant that actually has one. On the Fronx it means stepping up to the turbo engine; on the Grand Vitara it starts at Zeta, two trims below the top, and brings ventilated seats and rear sunshades with it. Active cooling is the specification worth chasing, because an uncooled pad throttles charging on a hot drive, and only the Victoris and Brezza have it. On the Honda City, the built-in charger is e:HEV only; the petrol gets an accessory pad.

Eight hybrid cars on sale in India come with a factory-fitted wireless charger, and the cheapest route in is the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which fits one to its two turbo variants, Zeta and Alpha, inside a range running from Rs 6.90 lakh to Rs 12.03 lakh ex-showroom. The Brezza offers it from the ZXi, and the Grand Vitara and Victoris from their middle trims. At the other end sit the Honda City e:HEV, the Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Honda ZR-V e:HEV.

The feature almost never appears on a base variant. On the Fronx it needs the turbo engine. On the Grand Vitara it starts at Zeta, two trims up. Working out the cheapest variant that actually has it is the whole exercise.

Key takeaways

  • The Fronx is the cheapest hybrid car here with a wireless charger, on the Zeta Turbo and Alpha Turbo.
  • The Victoris and the Brezza fit chargers with active cooling, which matters more than it sounds in an Indian summer.
  • The Grand Vitara spreads the feature across ten variants, more than any other car here, covering manual, automatic, all-wheel drive and strong hybrid.
  • On the Honda City, the built-in wireless charger is an e:HEV feature. The petrol i-VTEC only gets a plug-and-play accessory pad.
  • The most efficient of these is the Victoris strong hybrid at 28.65 km/l, then the City e:HEV at 27.26 km/l and the Grand Vitara and Hyryder strong hybrids at 27.97 km/l.

Prices are ex-showroom Delhi, read from each manufacturer's own price list in October 2026. Variant lists, mileage and equipment come from each model's official brochure. Toyota publishes no ex-showroom prices on its Indian website, and Honda quotes through a city-specific price checker rather than a fixed list. The Kia Sorento hybrid is also sold here, but Kia does not publish an accessible specification sheet for it, so it is not ranked above.

Active cooling is the detail worth paying for

A wireless pad heats a phone while it charges, and a hot phone throttles its own charging speed. On a long summer drive with navigation running, a plain pad can end up holding the battery steady rather than filling it.

Two cars here address that directly. The Victoris and the Brezza both describe their pads as wireless chargers with active cooling, meaning a small fan runs under the pad. If you drive long distances in heat with the phone on the pad the whole way, that is the specification to look for.

Two more things worth testing with your own phone rather than trusting on paper: whether your case is thick enough or metal-backed enough to block charging, and whether the pad holds the phone securely over a speed breaker. Both vary more than the brochures suggest.

1. Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The cheapest way into this feature, and the one that ties it to a specific engine.

Variants with it: Zeta Turbo and Alpha Turbo, in manual and automatic. The Sigma, Delta and Delta+ 1.2-litre variants do without, so the wireless charger effectively comes with the turbo.

Engine: A 998 cc turbo petrol with smart hybrid assistance, making 100.06 PS and 147.6 Nm, with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

Mileage: 21.5 km/l on the manual and 20.01 km/l on the automatic.

What else: Zeta Turbo gets a 17.78 cm SmartPlay Pro touchscreen and a rear view camera. Alpha Turbo adds a 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+ with Arkamys surround sound, a head-up display, 360 View Camera and cruise control.

Safety: Six airbags as standard across the range, ESP with hill hold, ISOFIX mounts, reverse sensors.

2. Maruti Suzuki Brezza

A wireless charging dock with active cooling, from a trim below the top.

Variants with it: ZXi and ZXi+, which covers the ZXi MT, ZXi AT, ZXi Turbo MT, ZXi+ Turbo MT and ZXi+ AT. The LXi and VXi do without.

Engines: A 998 cc K10C DiTC turbo making 110.12 PS and 170 Nm with a six-speed manual, or a 1,462 cc K15C making 103.05 PS and 139 Nm with a six-speed manual or automatic. Both are smart hybrids.

Mileage: 20.81 to 21.09 km/l on the 1.5 manual, 20.17 km/l on the 1.5 automatic, 19.96 to 20.47 km/l on the turbo.

What else: The electric sunroof arrives with the charger at ZXi. The head-up display, ventilated front seats, 360 View Camera and the PM 2.5 filter with AQI display wait for ZXi+.

Safety: Six airbags, ESP with hill hold, ISOFIX, and a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating at 30.41 of 32 for adults and 43.00 of 49 for children, covering the petrol variants.

3. Maruti Suzuki Victoris

The best-rated car here, with an actively cooled pad from its middle trim.

Variants with it: ZXi and ZXi(O), then ZXi+ and ZXi+(O), on both smart and strong hybrid. The LXi and VXi do without.

Engines: A 1,462 cc K15C smart hybrid at 103.06 PS and 139 Nm, with ALLGRIP Select all-wheel drive on the six-speed automatic. The strong hybrid pairs a 1,490 cc M15D at 92.45 PS and 122 Nm with an 80 PS, 141 Nm motor through an e-CVT.

Mileage: 21.18 km/l petrol manual, 21.06 km/l petrol automatic, 19.07 km/l ALLGRIP automatic, 28.65 km/l strong hybrid, 27.02 km/kg on CNG. The best figure on this list.

What else: The panoramic sunroof comes on the (O) variants. Ventilated seats, the 8-way powered driver seat and the head-up display are ZXi+ items.

Safety: Six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, a 360-degree HD camera on ZXi+, and Level 2 ADAS from Rs 17.49 lakh. It holds 5 stars at Bharat NCAP, 31.66 of 32 and 43.00 of 49, and 5 stars at Global NCAP, 33.72 of 34 and 41.00 of 49.

4. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Ten variants with a wireless charger, which means you can choose the powertrain first and still get it.

Variants with it: On petrol, Zeta and Zeta(O), Alpha and Alpha(O), and both Alpha ALLGRIP versions. On strong hybrid, Zeta+ and Zeta+(O) and Alpha+ and Alpha+(O). Only Sigma, Delta and the strong hybrid Delta+ miss out.

Engines: A 1,462 cc petrol at 103.06 PS and 139 Nm. The strong hybrid runs a 1,490 cc engine at 92.45 PS with a 59 kW motor for 115.56 PS of total system power through an e-CVT.

Mileage: 21.11 km/l manual, 20.58 km/l automatic, 19.20 km/l ALLGRIP automatic, 27.97 km/l strong hybrid.

What else arrives at Zeta: ventilated front seats, rear door sunshades and Auto Purify with PM 2.5. The head-up display and powered driver seat are Alpha and Alpha+ only.

Safety: Six airbags as standard, ESP with hill hold, tyre pressure monitoring, 360 View Camera on Alpha trims, hill descent control on the ALLGRIP variants.

5. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

The only car here that offers a wireless charger on a CNG variant.

Variants with it: The E CNG G, the NeoDrive G(O) and V, and the Hybrid G(O) and V.

Engines: The NeoDrive uses the 1,462 cc petrol at 75.8 kW, or 103.06 PS. The strong hybrid runs a 1,490 cc engine at 68 kW with a 59 kW motor for 85 kW, or 115.56 PS, of total system power.

Mileage: 21.12 km/l on the 2WD manual, 20.58 km/l on the 2WD automatic, 19.39 km/l on the AWD manual, 27.97 km/l on the strong hybrid, and 26.6 km/kg on the E CNG.

What else: Every NeoDrive and Hybrid variant with the charger also gets the panoramic sunroof. Ventilated seats follow a narrower pattern, arriving on the NeoDrive V and the Hybrid G(O) and V.

6. Honda City e:HEV

The cheapest hybrid sedan here, and a good example of why the variant matters.

Variants with it: The e:HEV only. Honda's brochure is explicit that the built-in wireless charger is an e:HEV feature and that the petrol i-VTEC City gets a plug-and-play pad as an accessory instead.

Hybrid system: A 1.5-litre engine making 74 kW, or 100 PS, with a combined system output of 93 kW, or 126 PS, through an e-CVT.

Mileage: 27.26 km/l claimed, against 17.77 km/l for the petrol manual. That gap is the clearest illustration on this page of what a strong hybrid actually buys.

Safety: Six airbags standard across every City variant, with Honda Sensing and its Low Speed Follow function offered on the e:HEV.

7. Honda ZR-V e:HEV

Variants with it: The single e:HEV variant, with the charger in the centre console tray.

Hybrid system: A 2.0-litre dual-motor e:HEV. The engine makes 105 kW, or 143 PS, and 189 Nm; the system combines for 135 kW, or 184 PS, with 315 Nm available from zero. Honda quotes 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

Mileage: 22.80 km/l claimed, which is remarkable for the performance.

8. Toyota Camry Hybrid

The most powerful car here, and the one with the most airbags.

Variant with it: The Camry Hybrid, with the wireless charging pad in the console.

Hybrid system: Toyota's fifth-generation 2.5-litre hybrid. The engine makes 137 kW, or 187 PS, the motor 100 kW, and total system output is 169 kW, or 230 PS, through an e-CVT.

Mileage: 25.49 km/l claimed.

Safety and comfort: Nine SRS airbags, Toyota Safety Sense, a nine-speaker JBL system, three-zone climate control and ventilated front seats.

How to choose

If you only want the charger, buy the Fronx Zeta Turbo and stop there. Nothing above it charges a phone any faster.

If you want the charger plus the things that usually travel with it, the Grand Vitara Zeta is the sweet spot on this list. It brings the charger, ventilated seats, rear sunshades and the PM 2.5 filter two trims below the top of the range, which is unusually generous.

If you drive long distances in heat with the phone on the pad throughout, prioritise active cooling, which puts the Victoris and the Brezza ahead of cars costing several times as much.
